POSTING: Technology Integration—Media Specialist—Gifted & Talented Instructor
1.0 FTE beginning the 2016-2017 school year.

JOB DUTIES:
Works cooperatively and collaboratively with Building Administrators, District Technology Director, IT staff, media staff, clerical staff, and others to provide outstanding technology integration support to staff and students.

1. Inspire and participate in the development and implementation of a shared vision for the comprehensive integration of technology to promote excellence and support transformational change throughout the instructional environment.
2. Assist teachers in embedding technology into instruction for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students.
3. Create and support effective digital age learning environments to maximize the learning of all students.
4. Conduct needs assessments, develop technology-related professional learning programs, and evaluate the impact on instructional practice and student learning.
5. Model and promote digital citizenship.
6. Support and promote literacy.
7. Manage media center budget.
8. Supervise media center staff, volunteers and student workers.
9. Provide Instruction in Elementary Gifted & Talented Program.
10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must hold a valid Minnesota teaching license.
• Demonstrated experience supporting teachers and students in effective use of instructional technology.
• Experience managing a School Media Center preferred.
• Experience working with gifted students preferred.

  • Needed ! CMLE Office Administrator
  • I.T. System Administrator Job Posting @ Elk River ISD 728
    Please pass this on to anyone you know who might be looking for this kind of opportunity. We have an open full-time technology position for a district-wide I.T. System Administrator (working 8 hours per day 12 months per year). The postings closes 3/6/2016. Salary starts at $50k.

The System Administrator is a professional in technology infrastructure hardware, software and networking. The primary tasks will involve installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of server/network infrastructure hardware and software systems so that all systems are usable by students and staff. The selected candidate will have experience maintaining firewalls, content filtering, LAN/WAN/WI-FI networking, virtualized data center hardware/software, data backups, mobile device management, and be a graduate of an appropriate college or equivalent program. The incumbent will also assist the Assistant Director of Information Technology in planning, training and coordinating the efforts of Information Technology Specialists team. We are in year 1 of a 3-year student 1:1 initiative rolling out Chromebooks for students in grade 6 through 12.

Great River Regional Library (GRRL) Personnel Updates

  • Lisa Pelkey, former Library Services Coordinator of Albany, has joined the Upsala staff as a Library Assistant
    Substitute.
  • Kara Gibford-Markman joined the Sauk Centre library staff in November as a library aide.

Over the summer GRRL had a few resignations in the St. Cloud Circulation department. These openings
allowed for adjustments to be made to existing staff schedules which resulted in five (5) Circulation
Assistants and two (2) Circulation Aides receiving additional hours. The remaining hours were posted as job
openings that have been filled, and the St. Cloud Circulation department is now fully staffed. Welcome to
all of our new Great River Regional Library staff, and congratulations to our recently promoted staff! Below
is a list of St. Cloud Circulation staff with their new role and effective date:
