I love libraries! In my younger days, I used to skip school to spend the day in the library. Mary JordanLater, I developed the much more acceptable strategy for hanging around libraries all the time: getting a library degree. Since then, libraries have been my passion – and working out strategies for helping library staff to become even more successful is my professional pathway.

I have worked with libraries of all sorts, and spent several years teaching library students, as they developed skills in the practical work libraries do every day. At CMLE, we want to promote the value libraries bring to their communities, and to be sure everyone is ready to advocate for success. Libraries are fantastic, and everyone needs to know that!

In my spare time I am (unsurprisingly) a prolific reader of books in all formats. I always have at least one paper, one audio, and one e-book going all the time. I quilt, run, camp, and am exploring the lakes and trails of Minnesota – hopefully a never-ending pursuit! And yes, I still hang out in libraries as frequently as possible.

Angie Gentile-Jordan

Office Administrator (Contact)

Hello! My name is Angie, and I’ve been the Office Administrator at CMLE since April 2016. I love being able to share ideas and resources and take part in events aimed at helping libraries be successful!

I grew up in St. Cloud, and graduated from St. Catherine University in 2012. My degree is in English, with a minor in Women’s Studies. I’ve worked in a variety of settings before, including retail, law, non-profit, and even trucking! I’m grateful to be able to put my skills to work at CMLE in order to help the organization connect and assist member libraries.

Currently, I live in Albany with my husband and our son Carson, along with a crabby cat named Stanley and our retired racing greyhound Lady Grey. In my free time I love to read, run (very slowly!), and listen to indie music.

I have been enjoying working at CMLE and with our member libraries, and am looking forward to what comes next!
