On Thursday, Oct. 24th Shena McAuliffe will give a public reading at Upper Gorecki at the College of St. Ben’s at 7pm. CMLE members, we can meet and attend this event together!

From the St. Ben’s website: Shena McAuliffe grew up in Wisconsin and Colorado. Her novel The Good Echo won the Big Moose Prize and was published by Black Lawrence Press in 2018. Her stories and essays have been published in Conjunctions, Black Warrior Review, Copper Nickel, Gulf Coast, True Story, and elsewhere. She is an Assistant Professor of Fiction at Union College in Schenectady, New York.

Next Tuesday, Sept. 17th author Chris Abani will give a reading at the Gorecki Family Center at the College of St. Ben’s at 7pm.

From the St. Ben’s website: Chris Abani is known as an international voice on humanitarianism, art, ethics, and our shared political responsibility. He is a bestselling novelist and poet PEN Freedom-to-Write winner. Check out Abani’s work here.

  • ECRL welcomes Welcome Steve Karlson as the new Princeton Branch Librarian. Steve is replacing Robin Suhsen who retired at the beginning of the summer.
  • ECRL also welcomes Barb Los as a new Branch Assistant in Aitkin.

  • Book Lovers Night will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Gorecki Conference Center, Room 204 on the College of Saint Benedict campus. The book and author will be Good Night, Mr. Wodehouse by Faith Sullivan.

Free Bookends from the College of Saint Benedict

CSB has over 100 6”x6”steel bookends free for the taking.  The bookends are grey with a small label identifying them as from the College of Saint Benedict.   If your library can use these, please contact Bonnie Kalla at Clemens Library (bkalla@csbsju.edu) to arrange pick up and delivery.
