Remember to Vote: Join CMLE for our Fall Social Event!

We love connecting with our members in person! It’s even more fun when food is involved, so we are having another CMLE Social Event taking place at  Old Chicago in St. Cloud. This will be a dinner event beginning at 5:30pm, but we need your help picking a date! Vote below and we’ll send out a notice of the final date.

As a multitype library system, one of our main goals is to provide connections between all different types of libraries: schools, history centers, museums, academic libraries, etc! One of our favorite ways to do this is through hosting social events where people from all types of libraries are free to get together and chat about library life.

Thanks to all of you that have already voted! If you haven’t yet, tell us which dates could work for you! We can’t wait to hear all about your experiences in the library world this fall!

Date options (feel free to select several dates that work for you)(required)

Vote for a date for our CMLE Fall Social event!

One of our favorite ways to do this is through hosting social events where people from all types of libraries are free to get together and chat about library life.

We’ve had so much fun at our past social events and we’re excited to put together our next one which will take place in the month of October.

In the past, members have been pleased with the choice of Old Chicago in St. Cloud as a dinner destination, so we will be going there again. However, we need your help to decide on a date! Vote below and we’ll send out a notice of the final date.

As in the past, this will be a dinner social event that begins at 5:30pm. We like to keep things very casual with no agenda and the goal of simply meeting new people and talking libraries!

CMLE is constantly evaluating its services including the Book Discount Program. We are asking book companies in the program for data about usage of the program, but we also need your input.

If you buy books for your  library/school media center  in Aitkin, Benton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd or Wright counties in Minnesota, we want you to complete this one minute poll.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Are things changing quickly at your school, maybe with talk of a 1:1 initiative or BYOD? Are you searching for clarity about the role of the media specialist in the face of change? Are you feeling a need to talk with your peers face-to-face in order to solve problems or get new ideas? CMLE serves 265 schools in twelve counties, so the needs are varied and sometimes hard for our staff to gauge.

Some of you feel quite taken care of with online learning opportunities, but others are expressing a need for some face-to-face contact with peers in our region. If you are school media staff in Aitkin, Benton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd or Wright counties of Minnesota, please participate in this poll. It is quick, and will help CMLE staff determine interest in future work around chances for  face-to-face networking.
