Join us here each week. We will provide activities for all ages, with online activities and some things to do on your own. It’s winter, we’re having a pandemic, and there should be a lot of staying at home. But that doesn’t mean being bored! Dive in here, and let’s do some fun things!
Virtual Travel
Ready for some hot weather and sunshine? Let’s head down to Australia! We are going to visit a sacred spot: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
“Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is named after two of Australia’s most spectacular sites: the world-famous sandstone monolith of Uluru and the red domes of Kata Tjuta.
Our dual World Heritage-listed park is in the heart of the Central Australian desert, about 450 km from Alice Springs.
The land is owned by the Anangu people and leased to Parks Australia, who manage the national park in collaboration with the traditional owners. The nearby Ayers Rock Resort at Yulara provides accommodation, restaurants, shops, fuel and other essential services to park visitors.
As well as its world-famous geological formations and extraordinary Indigenous culture, the park is home to a fascinating array of plants and animals, including many rare species.”
Let’s Move
Staying inside a lot means most of us are doing less moving around. More exercise helps us to keep our anxiety levels down and to release chemicals to keep us happy. So, let’s have some fun this week!
