We want to help you in your self-care practice, and to keep reminding you that this is important. Keep remembering to take care of yourself, and to keep doing the best you can. We’re here for you.

Have you tried drawing? Me – I can hardly draw a good breath! I am not artistic at all. But every so often I try some sketching, with pens or with colored pencils, just to try out that part of my brain that does some different things that the usual work I do.

This week, grab something you can draw with. Anything at all. And let’s try doing some drawing, to stimulate different parts of your brain than you use in your usual life. If you do draw regularly, use your opposite hand to help you think in new ways. Use a pen, pencil, crayons, or anything else to let you express some ideas.

What could you draw this week? Draw your feelings right in this moment. Draw your foot. Draw a flower. Draw the plot of your favorite book. Try a few different things.

This week we are not looking at perfection. You can hang these up on your wall if you want to, or crumple them up and recycle them when you are done. That doesn’t matter. You are just looking at a different way of thinking, a different way of viewing the world, and a different outlook for yourself. We are all about self-care and doing some stress-busting. It is only for you; nobody else needs to love your art. It is all about expressing yourself.

Do some creativity. Bring the thoughts inside your head onto paper. Feel yourself relax.
