We want to help you in your self-care practice, and to keep reminding you that this is important. Keep remembering to take care of yourself, and to keep doing the best you can. We’re here for you.

This week we are going to do some a very simple thing. Just breathe.

Pause for a moment. Yes, right now.

Try to empty out your mind. And if that doesn’t work out, no problem; your mind will feel better in just a minute or two.

Whoosh out your breath and empty out your lungs.

Breathe in. Count to four while you do it.

Pause.

Blow out your breath. Count to six while you do that.

Pause.

Do it again.

Do it a couple more times.

When you have done this, your mind will be more still. If you were feeling anxious, it will be reduced. If you heart rate was up, it will be lower.

The power of breathing to help us all calm down and to feel better. We can all feel more at peace. Self care is important, and taking this time to take care of yourself will help you to be better at all the other things you need to do.

We’re with you. We’ve all got this.
