If you are working with library community members who are eight to eighteen, this is a great opportunity for you from the State Library Services here in Minnesota!
“We’re offering another online cohort with a focus on youth development, ages 8-18. It will pick up where your Early Childhood classes left off and explore the emotional, physical and social development of young people and what that means for your library work. There is additional content on mental health, brain development and teens in relation to family systems.
This is not for youth services staff only, but for anyone who could benefit from a better understanding of teens and pre-teens. We will be meeting weekly via Zoom for six week from August 13 through September 17 at a time determined by participants. There will be online work to be done between meetings, including readings, videos and discussion boards. If you’re interested, please register at this link by August 2.
