Well, we are coming to the end! The closing ceremony will happen tomorrow, and our final events will wrap up. Hopefully everyone had an amazing experience competing in the Olympics – and that we have all had a chance to see some new things, maybe try some new activities, and that we have all found a bunch of new books to add to our library – or just to read and enjoy!
Whether or not you are watching the Olympics, or care about sports, or even know about all the different sports in the Olympics – there are people in your community who care a lot. Especially when you are dealing with reluctant readers of any age, or people who may not connect their interests with books, this is a great opportunity to show how relevant your collection is to the community!

What events could you enjoy today? There are still a lot of great things happening:
While it is pretty sad to be wrapping up such a huge event, that so many people work toward for their entire lives, the work we do to spin off ideas in libraries never needs to stop! Sports, or big spectacles and events, are always around. So this is always a good springboard toward some programming and materials that will connect with your community members. Keep sharing cool books on fun things all the time!
