Woof, Meow, Buzz, & Hoot: Animal Books
August is known as the dog days of summer, so let’s talk about dogs, or cats, or any animals that feature in the story. They can be the hero or just the cool sidekick, but an animal feature in fiction or any nonfiction worth the read.
Thursday, August 25 @ 4pm
Meta Stories
Most of us like to read about ourselves and adjacent professions. Books about libraries and bookstores are in all genres from literary fiction, to mystery, to romance, to fantasy, and many other genres. We want to hear your favorites that feature librarians or libraries and bookstores.
Thursday, September 22 @ 4pm
A Tale as Old as Time
What’s your favorite fairy tale? Have you ever read a retelling? Let’s talk alternate versions of some of our favorite classics. From Marissa Meyer’s steampunk Cinder to Danielle Paige’s Dorothy Must Die series to the recent House of Salt and Sorrows, Erin Craig’s retelling of the Twelve Dancing Sisters, there are some amazing tales reimagined. Share yours and get some new ideas.
