Libraries are always looking for more ways to connect their patrons with information. And one easy tool for this is to have displays in your library. And, if you can combine a cool display that is both entertaining and informative? Well, that’s just fantastic!
So, check out these displays you can borrow for your library! They come from the State Library Services, by way of the Minnesota Pollution Control Center. You can borrow them through interlibrary loan.

- Climate Change in Minnesota exhibit Climate Change in Minnesota showcases what communities and organizations throughout Minnesota are doing to address climate change. Another component of the exhibit called “Climate Changed” illustrates the effects that climate change is already having on Minnesota.
- Climate Resilient Communities Climate Resilient Communities looks at key assets that help communities address climate change in light of three main topics: warmer and wetter, community connections, and extreme weather.
- Fix a Leak exhibit Fix a Leak raises awareness about water conservation in your home and that toilets are the number one source of home water loss. A cross-section of a toilet draws attention to leaks that can easily fixed.
- Food and Climate Change exhibit Food and Climate Change uses larger than life-size models of six foods that are weighted to demonstrate and compare their greenhouse gas emissions from farm to table. As people pick up the different examples, information about the climate impacts of food are shared on a computer monitor.
- Karst and Water Pollution exhibit Karst and Water Pollution exhibit examines the unique challenges for keeping groundwater clean in the karst geology of southeastern Minnesota. It explores some of the sources of water pollution and what all of us can do to ensure safe drinking water and healthy streams.
- Pollinators – Bee Aware exhibit Pollinators, Bee Aware explores insect pollinators, their importance to the production of many of the foods we eat and the challenges to survival they face. It emphasizes how we can help pollinators.
- Save Your Food! exhibit Save Your Food! uses a mini refrigerator to illustrate the best ways to store food in a refrigerator to keep it fresh. The precursor to this exhibit was a regular-sized refrigerator that was taken to Open Streets events and county fairs throughout the metro area.
