Library people working with K-12 patrons – the Minnesota Department of Education needs to hear YOUR views on ESSA! So we are passing on their short survey, to be sure everyone has a chance to share your ideas. Take ten minutes and be sure the needs of your patrons are expressed here.
This is going to be important for library work for a while, so let’s all help to be sure things get implemented as well as possible for Minnesota students!

Thank you for taking our short survey. Your ideas will help the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) make sure all students succeed in school. The survey will take less than ten minutes to complete, and your responses will be anonymous.
ESSA is a new federal education law for pre-K through 12th grade. All states have to submit a new state plan to the U.S. Department of Education that describes how they will implement the new law in their schools in the 2017-18 school year and beyond. We are committed to maintaining open communication with you throughout the process while we create our new plan.
For the purpose of this survey, a public school is defined as any school supported by public funds that provides free education for children of a community or district. This includes traditional pre-K, elementary, and secondary schools; alternative schools; and charter schools.
