CMLE has (VR) kits available for members to borrow! You can use these in your library for a month at a time. Each kit has eight VR headsets; we suggest you take two kits (maybe three – depending on demand that month!).

Our kits come with over 700 lessons available to our members. Want to share content with your students about art? Biology? Design? History? Math? Physics? Travel and Tourism? All of these topics are available!

You can check out the VR content here. Our vendor is ClassVR.

This material functions kind of like 360 degree view PowerPoint slides. You, and your teachers, can use any sort of wording to go with it – lectures, story telling, playing music, or just letting students quietly explore each one. This makes the content infinitely flexible, and able to be used by any age group.

Some of the lessons come with worksheets that not only add some written content that teachers can use, but also adds QR codes to make content available through Augmented Reality (AR).

You can download the entire list of content available here; or if you want to register with CMLE to join our account, you can see everything there.

All of this: the headsets, the lesson plans, the worksheets, and anything else ClassVR offers, is available at no cost to our members! We obtained this equipment through an LSTA grant, and make it available to members.

If you want to get on our reservation list, it’s easy! Just send an email to mary@cmle.org. Tell me how many kits you want (we suggest two), and what month you want them. If you are in the St Cloud area and can come to pick them up – super! That may speed things along. And if not, we will work out delivery to your school.

I will set up a time to do some training with you on using the administrative portal. It’s pretty easy to use on the user side (students) – and most of the kids we have seen pick it up really quickly. (Especially if they are already gamers!) It takes a little more time to set it up on the admin side – library staff and teachers – but it’s not a problem.

We have a variety of material we have created to help you get started in our program.

Let’s add some cool services for your patrons!
