This is a program that will develop as we all learn more about the devices and materials. Keep this page bookmarked as it will change and more information will be added.
We have VR/AR kits to loan out!
They come with images, videos, worksheets, and lesson plans! All kinds of different academic areas are part of this program, from K thru 12.
There is NO CHARGE for our member libraries!
Are you a member? CMLE serves 12 counties in central Minnesota: Aitkin, Benton, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, and Wright. If you are in a library in that system – you are a member!

Below is some basic information for you to get ideas about participating in this program.
- What is going on here? We have VR/AR kits to share with members. Each kit has eight headsets. These will have access to an amazing array of VR/AR technology, for students K-12. We are paying an annual fee for access to all kinds of lesson plans from our vendor, to help library staff and teachers to have some great material for class.
- How much does this cost my library? Nothing! We received a grant to get these to share with our members!
- How do I get my hands on this? Email Mary at mary@cmle.org to get on the reservation list!
- I’m a teacher who heard about this program; how to do I get a kit? Fantastic! We have a lot of material for you. The library staff at your school are our members, so they need to do the application. Give them support in getting that done!
- I’m not a member; what about me? Sorry, this is CMLE members only. If other libraries or systems want to give them a try in our office, you can email Mary at mary @ cmle.org and we will try to get a kit back here for you to test. We want to demo these for other libraries, so you can decide whether these are valuable for your collection.
Here are instructions to get started!
- Instructions for Library Staff (getting the devices set up)
- Instructions for Teaching (using devices in class)
