Our VR headsets come with a lot of great material!

And you can add more information and resources from different sources, to increase the opportunities you can share with your students.

Downloading Videos to Share

You can download videos to your computer, using a program like VLC media program. (Instructions on using it here.) Once a video is on your computer, you can drag and drop it into the “My Cloud” section of the portal. You can also click on “Upload” in My Cloud, and just upload it there.

Here are a few places you can find videos to download and use on the VR headsets: (If you find other good educational videos, let us know so we can share them!)

  • You can go to YouTube any time, and search out videos that are VR 360 degrees.
  • The Met 360° Project This award-winning series of six short videos invites viewers around the world to virtually visit The Met’s art and architecture in a fresh, immersive way. Created using spherical 360° technology, it allows viewers to explore some of the Museum’s iconic spaces as never before.
  • Google Arts and Culture videos   Discover the inspirational moments, iconic people, and artistic wonders that are available at the tip of your fingers. Google Arts & Culture allows you to immerse yourself in culture with 360 views, zoom in to reveal the secrets of a masterpiece, take behind the scenes tours of palaces and museums, watch kids explain famous paintings to art experts, and so much more. Art changes the way we see the world and the way we see each other, so we invite you to come and expand your horizons with us.
  • Peterson Automotive Museum Petersen Automotive Museum is giving visitors the opportunity to experience the Ford GT cars they love, through interactive HoloLens technology. With the 1967 GT40 Mark III and the 2017 GT on display, visitors will be able to use the HoloLens to blur the lines between the physical and the digital in a game-changing mix of history, machinery, and technology.
  • National Museum Of Finland Offers Virtual Time Travel With the opening of the new VR exhibit, visitors to the museum will be able to step back in time to the year 1863 by donning a VR headset and walking inside R. W. Ekman’s painting ‘The Opening of he Diet 1863 by Alexander II’.
  • Google Open Heritage Open Heritage is an initiative launched last year in partnership with the organization CyArk that puts digital 3D renderings, virtual tours, and other data about historical sites, in an open source Google Arts & Culture portal. “
