National Library Week is the perfect opportunity to encourage your community to tell the story of how the library has changed their life. This year the theme is Lives change @ your library and the Honorary Chair is Judy Blume. Check out the PSA’s, letter to the editor, press releases, Twitter hash tags and much, much more! Let’s involve the public in communicating about the value of libraries.
National Library Week was first established in 1958. Over the last 55 years, every April, libraries and librarians are celebrated across the country.
During National Library Week, held this year on April 14-20th, CMLE would like to recognize our members, representing multiple library types, who continue to foster information literacy, support communities and champion access to valuable resources.

April 11th through the 17th is National Library Week. CMLE would like to take this chance to thank each of you for all the hard work you do every day! From working with young children during story times, to information literacy sessions, to one-on-one reference interactions (and the list stretches on from there!), it’s really amazing what librarians do on a daily basis. I hope you’ll all take a moment to celebrate your library, the work of your colleagues, and your own dedication!
