Makerspaces in Libraries Survey

“Hi Everyone,

I am revising the book Makerspaces: A Practical Guide for Librarians and I’m conducting a survey of the field.

If you would please take a moment to answer this brief 15-question survey about libraries with makerspaces  it would be very helpful.  Thank you!”

Share your ideas on inclusion!

Think-Inclusion
The joint ALA/SAA/AAM Committee on Archives, Libraries, and Museums (CALM) needs your help!

In the spirit of true inclusion we are seeking your thoughts on the current state of inclusion in libraries, archives, and museums (LAMS).

In preparation for our annual programs at ALA and SAA we are soliciting the CALM listserv for assistance in compiling questions about the current state of inclusion in LAMS. At both programs we will engage six different panelists about the issues and challenges surrounding inclusion in LAMs and how well we are doing (or not doing) in addressing them.

What are the biggest roadblocks or obstacles to creating inclusive environments and what are some examples within your own community (even if not within your own organization)? Do you have a specific question that you would like to see addressed during the sessions?

Please send feedback to CALM co-chairs, Elizabeth Call (ALA) and Lynette Stoudt (SAA). We look forward to hearing from you by Friday, April 14!
