Its hard to keep up with all the changes to all the Google Apps but thanks to FreeTech4Teachers.com, by Richard Byrne, we don’t have to! Byrne recently posted about 3 changes to Google Docs that might affect you. A couple aren’t that exciting but having the ability to export Google Documents to EPUB format gives us all the ability to write eBooks from Google Drive. If only the process of getting that EPUB file to our devices was easier! Here’s the list of changes:

Export your Google Documents to EPUB format
A new option to select, copy, and paste content from the print screen in the Google Docs Android app
The Google Documents add-on called Tag Cloud Generator is a great way for students to examine their own or another person’s document for frequently used words. They can generate a word cloud within their story to aide in the revision process. Educators can then ask them to find synonyms to make a more interesting story or essay.
If you use Google Docs, you’ll be happy to know that as of April 12th, Google Docs has added pagination options. This means that in your Google documents you now have the option of using features like visual page breaks and headers and footers. In addition, “native printing” is now available if you use Google Chrome; allowing you to print directly from the browser rather than having to convert the document to a PDF. The native printing option means that the document will appear on the printed page just as it does on your screen. To learn more, please visit http://tinyurl.com/43l5o8h.
