No Money? A CMLE scholarship of up to $200 is yours to use for registration, hotel, mileage, meals, or to subsidize the cost of your employer hiring a substitute worker so you can be away. If you approach your boss to say you have found a way to contribute  $200, they will know you are invested and have taken initiative. The application process is easy, CMLE would love to exhaust its scholarship budget this year, so go for it!

Call for Minnesota Reflections Projects
Phase 11 is Open!

The Minnesota Digital Library is looking for contributors to Minnesota Reflections Phase 11. We are seeking photographs, postcards, maps, letters, documents, books, oral histories, film and more in both our usual topic areas and some special ones, such as:
• Temperance and Prohibition
• Civil War
• World War I
• World War II
• Vietnam War/Protests
• Health Pandemics (Influenza, Polio, Smallpox)
• WPA and CCC
• Ballparks and Baseball
• “Up North”: Cabins and Camping
• Roadside Attractions
• Resorts and Leisure
• Minnesota Landscapes
• Holidays and Celebrations

What does the "Internet of Things" mean for librarians?

Lee Rainie, the Director of the Pew Research Center’s Internet Project, recently shared the latest research about how the “Internet of Things” will be effecting libraries. In it he talks about a future where wearable technologies aren’t the exception but the norm.
