Today it may also mean downloading an electronic file readable on multiple devices (Ipad, Iphone, Laptop, eReader…) which are offered by various companies (Barnes & Noble, Sony, Amazon…) in numerous models (Kindle, Nook, Pandigital, Kobo…).
